BALLOCH - NNE 9kts - Whispering

Balloch, Loch Lomond, Scotland. Wind: NNE 9 knots

The quietest wind in the series — barely a whisper from the north-northeast, the surface of Loch Lomond barely disturbed, the stillness almost complete.

Holding this rare moment of near-total calm transforms the photograph into a quiet anchor on your wall—a daily invitation to pause, breathe, and attune yourself to the subtle, almost imperceptible shifts in the landscape.

Part of an ongoing series exploring weather, place, and the kinetic energy of the natural world.

The Artistic Process & Technique

In-Camera Observation (Zero AI): The artist captures every photograph entirely in the field, using natural light, atmospheric conditions, and real-time shutter speeds to record wind moving across the landscape. The artist never uses artificial intelligence, automated generation, or algorithmic filters at any stage.

Atmospheric Telemetry & Digital Processing: Rooted in observing the unseen forces of nature, each image captures the physical influence of wind—its speed, direction, and interaction with the land and water. Subtle digital processing is used solely to refine tonal balance, contrast, and colour depth while maintaining the raw authenticity of the original moment.

Edition, Production & Delivery

Strictly Limited Edition: Limited to a run of strictly 30 prints in each edition. Once this run sells out, we will never reprint the exact image in this edition size.

Museum Print Quality: Produced as a museum-quality print on Ultra Premium Lustre Photo Paper using a multicolour, water-based inkjet printing technique. With its refined blend of gloss and matte finishes, it delivers a rich, highly saturated look with maximum ink coverage for vibrant depth and sharp, lasting detail.

Print-on-Demand & Direct Shipping: Each order is custom-printed on demand to maintain pristine quality and shipped directly to your doorstep (supplied unframed).

Certificate of Authenticity: To verify your limited-edition print number and origin, we'll email an official digital Certificate of Authenticity after purchase.
